Tooth-Preserving Treatments - So you can keep your own teeth even at the age of 80!

Preserving your own teeth for as long as possible is always our goal. Today’s modern techniques allow us to treat deep cavities and even root canal infections effectively and painlessly, so you don’t have to lose a tooth unnecessarily.
Tooth-preserving treatments help you avoid more costly and time-consuming tooth replacement procedures.

Types of Tooth-Preserving Treatments

We offer the following tooth-preserving treatments:

Fillings – Composite (white) fillings replace decayed or damaged tooth structure and restore function and appearance.

Root Canal Treatment – If the nerve of a tooth becomes infected or inflamed, root canal therapy can save the tooth and eliminate pain.

Core Build-up – – Strengthens teeth with severe loss of structure, often in preparation for a crown.

Inlays/Onlays – When a filling alone isn’t enough but a crown would be excessive, inlays and onlays offer a precise and aesthetic alternative.

The Treatment Process

Assessment and Planning

We examine the tooth and take X-rays if needed. Then we discuss treatment options and costs in advance.

Anesthesia and Preparation

We numb the area with local anesthesia—and apply a topical anesthetic before injection to ensure a more pleasant experience.

Tooth Treatment

We clean out decayed or infected material and restore the tooth with the appropriate technique—filling, inlay, or root canal.

Final Restoration

We ensure the tooth is restored both functionally and aesthetically. For root canal-treated teeth, a crown is often recommended to ensure durability.

Aftercare

We explain home care and schedule a follow-up if needed.

Our dentists

Our dentists – Dental Studio Buda

Dr. Veress Adrián

I graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at Semmelweis University, and during my studies I also worked at the outpatient clinic of the Department of Dentistry and Oral Surgery. It is important to me to devote enough time not only to the treatment itself but also to the consultation beforehand, so that my patients are fully informed and we can carry out the necessary treatment together. I work with dental loupes (magnifying glasses), which allows me to pay attention to even the smallest details.

Dr. Mieder Gabriella

My name is Dr. Gabriella Mieder. I was born in Germany and moved to Hungary in 1978. I studied dentistry at Semmelweis University (SOTE), graduating in 1983, and passed my specialist dental examination in 1986. From 1983 to 1991 I worked at the Central Stomatological Institute, and I also spent several months gaining professional experience at a private dental clinic in Austria. In 1991 I opened my own private practice. Every year I regularly attend continuing education courses, both in Hungary and abroad.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is root canal treatment painful?

No. We perform it under local anesthesia, and we take extra time if needed to ensure you feel no discomfort.

How long does a root canal take?

It usually takes 1–2 sessions, depending on the tooth and extent of the infection.

Is tooth preservation always possible?

In many cases, yes. But if a tooth is severely damaged or fractured below the gum line, extraction may be the only option.

Will the tooth be as strong as before?

With proper restoration (e.g., crown after a root canal), the tooth can be just as strong and functional.

Why is timely root canal treatment important?

Delaying root canal treatment can lead to more serious problems, such as the spread of infection or the loss of the tooth. Timely treatment prevents further damage and helps preserve the tooth in the long term.
